Where to start

Start with The House on Wren Hollow. It’s the shortest, about two hours, and it’s where Nora’s family comes in. But every book is a whole love story with its own house and its own ghost, so you can start with whichever cover pulls at you.

How the books connect

  • The House on Wren Hollow (Book One): Nora Whitlock, a widowed restorer, takes on a burned mansion on the Maine coast, and the courteous, infuriating ghost of the man who built it.
  • The Lighthouse at Reed’s Point (Book Two): Rosie Reed, the last of a lighthouse-keeping family in Nova Scotia, and the man every Reed woman sees once in the fog.
  • The Ghost Light (Book Three, out 11 January 2027): Nora’s younger sister Maggie buys a dead theater in Providence for a dollar, along with the stage manager who has kept its light burning since 1931. Nora and Elias, and Rosie and Jonah, drop in.
  • Clara & Samuel, 1924 (free, by email): the night Clara and Samuel ran from Reed’s Point. You can’t buy it anywhere; it comes to Lantern Letters readers.

What every book promises

A ghost, a house with a history, and a love story that ends happily ever after. The bedroom door stays closed. Each book page lists its content notes before you start.
